TCDP Non-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment Policy
The Traverse City Dance Project is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Each individual has the right to work in a professional atmosphere that promotes equal employment opportunities and prohibits unlawful discriminatory practices, including harassment.
Therefore, the TCDP expects that all relationships among persons in the office, studio, performance spaces, as well as any other location under the TCDP umbrella will be respectful and free of bias, prejudice and harassment.
It is the policy of the TCDP to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, national origin, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. The TCDP prohibits any such discrimination or harassment.
All artistic and administrative staff, independent contractors, and volunteers associated with the TCDP must adhere to this policy and are encouraged to assist the TCDP’s efforts in support of non-discrimination and equal opportunity and access.
Accessibility takes on many different forms. The Traverse City Dance Project is committed to improving and accessing our events, performances, and employment opportunities as they relate to accommodating all artists and audience members. We require that all performance venues we rent are ADA compliant. For our outdoor community events we will work with community officials in advance to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all is a priority.
